How To Freeze Egg Bites

Freezing egg bites is an easy way to have a healthy breakfast ready for you any time.
Simply blend the ingredients you want in your egg bite and pour the mixture into a greased mini muffin tin or silicon mold.

What To Serve With Egg Bites

Egg bites are a delicious and versatile side dish that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways.
  1. Choose flavourful sides like potatoes, onions, and mushrooms to complement the egg bites.
When making egg bites, it's important to choose side dishes that will complement the richness and texture of the main star. Potatoes are a great choice, as they add crunch and flavour and can be prepared in a myriad of ways – from roasted to mashed.
Onions are another great option for adding depth to your dish, while mushrooms can help boost the umami flavour and nutrient profile.
Choose your sides wisely depending on how you're preparing your egg bites, so that all components work together in harmony!
  2. Serve a soup or stew with your egg bites.
A good soup can make all the difference when it comes to egg bites as a side-dish. Soups and stews are a great choice for adding texture and flavour with savoriness.
  3. Round out the plate with a healthy green salad or sautéed vegetables.
Egg bites can make a perfectly round out meal on their own if served with a side salad. Add leafy greens and diced tomatoes for a healthy burst of vitamins and minerals, or make it even more interesting by tossing in some roasted nuts or peas.
For something heartier, consider sautéing ingredients such as bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, and onions to create an additional course.
The possibilities are virtually endless; have fun experimenting with different combinations to find the perfect pairing for your egg bites!
  4. Add a mild fish such as flounder or snapper for added protein and nutrients into the meal.
Perfectly cooked fish can be the star of any meal.
When served alongside egg bites, a milder option like flounder or snapper plays perfectly off of the tangy or creamy flavours found in this dish. The succulent flakes of fish are packed with protein, vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids that help contribute to heart health and reduce inflammation.
  5. Complete the plate by serving a side of creamy avocado slices on top of the egg bites for texture contrast.
Creamy avocado pairs so nicely with egg bites, providing a contrasting texture to the bites. Slice a ripe avocado and spread the pieces on top of the egg bites before serving.
Avocado nutrition is full of healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins A, C and E.
If you’re looking for added crunch, you can sprinkle sesame or chia seeds on top of your egg bite plate before serving as well!
  6. Serve as a party finger food alongside platters of simple asparagus rolls, rice arancini balls and cashew chicken bites.
  7. Clingwrap them and put in the work or school lunchbox, they are great eaten cold.
  8. Eat hot or cold for breakfast, lunch, or whenever you feel like a light meal.
  9. They make a great morning or afternoon tea along with your favourite cup of tea or coffee.
