Ingredients

  • 1 dozen oysters
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the barbecue for indirect cooking over medium heat.
  2. Shuck and clean the oysters then pat them dry using paper towels.
    Now place them in a single layer on a tray.
  3. Place a teaspoon of the butter over each oyster, then top with a sprinkle of the grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Carefully place the oysters on the barbecue and cook over indirect medium heat for 2-3 minutes, or until the juices start to bubble.
  5. Remove the oysters from the barbecue then garnish with a sprinkle of the finely chopped chives and salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the oysters immediately.
