Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 dozen oysters
  • ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup of melted butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the barbecue for barbecue for indirect cooking over medium heat.
    Or preheat your oven to medium heat.
  • Shuck and clean the 1 dozen oysters then pat them dry using paper towels.
  • In the shells, place them in a single layer on a baking tray.
  • Place a teaspoon from the 1/4 cup of melted butter over each oyster, then top with a sprinkle of the 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese.
  • Carefully place the oysters on the barbecue or in the oven and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the juices start to bubble.
  • Remove the oysters, then garnish with a sprinkle of the finely chopped chives and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the oysters immediately.

Notes

Tip:
For extra flavour, add a pinch of garlic powder or red pepper flakes to the Parmesan cheese.
