Equipment

  • Plate or dish
  • Cutting board
  • Ice-cream scoop
  • Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large banana
  • Neapolitan ice-cream
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • chocolate sauce
  • 1 cherry optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Split the 1 large banana in 2 parts lengthways and put them side by side on a suitable plate or dish.
  • Using the Neapolitan ice-cream, Place a large scoop of vanilla in middle, then strawberry and chocolate on the sides.
  • Place the 1 cup whipped cream on top of ice cream.
  • Pour some chocolate sauce over the top.
  • Garnish with the 1 cherry.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Recipe Variations

  • Vegan Banana Splits;
    Substitute the ice cream for vanilla, strawberry and chocolate gelato.
    This will also make it gelatin free.
  • Sprinkle some crushed peanuts over the top to add a bit more colour and a bit of crunch.
  • Change garnish to strawberries, raspberries or even thinly sliced bananna.
