Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced/ground beef, minced/ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and milk.
Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in a dense meatloaf.
Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf shape.
Smooth the top with a spatula.
Spread the sauce/ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf, creating a glaze.
Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 71°C (160°F) using a meat thermometer.
Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a moist and tender meatloaf.
Serve the traditional meatloaf with your favourite sides, such as mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
Enjoy!
